Why do I need to mantain my website?

WordPress releases an update an average of every 2 months. Typically to fix bugs and a variety of security issues. Updates also add new features and functionality that can improve the overall design and performance of your site.

The main components that need to be updated regularly are the WordPress core, themes, plugins, and other software that powers your site so that everything continues to run smoothly.

Although it is possible to perform the updates yourself, doing it properly is quite time consuming and risky. It’s important to have updates performed regularly by a professional developer who knows what they’re doing and can monitor and tackle any issues that may arise from the update.

Software updates usually go smoothly, but occasionally they conflict with each other and can trigger malfunctions that can cause a poor experience for your visitors, or worse yet bring your site down entirely.

What if an update creates compatibility issues?

As with all new WordPress, plugins or theme updates, there may be times where a certain feature no longer works or the front-end has been affected in its design.

Don't worry, in this case, we will reverse back to a previous version of the specific piece of code (plugin, theme or WordPress) that has affected the site.

If any of these issues cannot be resolved promptly then you (‘The Client’) are advised on what the next steps should be and if it requires major changes or time to fix.

What are major issues and what if we find them?

Small compatibility issues that can be resolved in a timely fashion -an hour or less- are included in all packages.

However, occasionally there may be compatibility issues that arise from maintaining and updating your WordPress site.

We will inform you (‘The Client’) if there are larger issues that are outside of the scope of your maintenance package.

Our hourly rate for issues outside of the scope of your package is $90 / hour.

How can I pay for a plan?

Click on each f the buttons located for each plan and complete the popup form and give us a few hours to review your request.

We will send you a link via email to proceed with the payment.

Plans are paid via credit/debit card.

All plans will agree to the following:

  • Pre-authorized monthly fees will be charged to your credit/debit card on the 1st of each month. If a failed credit card transaction happens, another attempt will be made within 14 days. If still the transaction cannot be processed, we will contact the customer via email, phone or text until their payment is made.
  • In the event an invoice is not paid on time, to the maximum extent allowable by law, Awesome Web Designs will charge a late payment fee of 1.50% per month on any overdue and unpaid balance not in dispute. All payment obligations are non-cancelable and fees paid are non-refundable.

Every month you complete the payment you will receive a payment receipt attached with an invoice, via email.  If you do not receive an email, please check your spam folder.

How can I cancel a plan?

In case you ('The Client') want to cancel a plan, you can send us an email to info@awesomewebdesigns.ca. We will proceed with your request within 48 hours (business days). The cancellation will be confirmed via email.

In the event a cancellation is requested less than 14 days prior to the 1st day of the month, Awesome Web Designs reserves the right to process the payment for the following month and cancel the plan afterward.

Awesome Web Designs reserves the right to terminate any plans for non-payment of fees, or for disruptive behavior by the client. Verbal, physical, written or other abuse (including threats of abuse or retribution) of any client towards Awesome Web Designs staff or facility will result in immediate service termination.
